ABOUT US

AIESEC is an international non-governmental and not-for-profit organization that provides young people with leadership development and cross-cultural global experiences, with a focus to empower young people.

The AIESEC network includes over 100,000 members in 126 countries and territories. It is the largest youth-run organization in the world.

It envisions "Peace and fulfillment of humankind's potential," by developing globally-minded leaders that live by its six core values: Activating Leadership, Demonstrating Integrity, Living Diversity, Enjoying Participation, Striving for Excellence, and Acting Sustainably.

AIESEC in Nepal is a branch of the international platform for emerging leaders under AIESEC. Established in 2013 in association with AIESEC in India, we took off with the vision of unifying causes with common purpose. And consequently, we aim to enhance the impact of AIESEC.

Our main objective is to explore and develop leadership potential and promote a positive impact in society. We have an innovative approach; engaging the developing minds by focusing on building personal networks and enlightening their future paths.

Our head-quarter is located at the heart and soul of the country, our capital, Kathmandu. Our members hail from various regions in Nepal and contribute to a kaleidoscope of ethnic diversity.

Our contribution makes us the first choice leadership provider amongst young people and organizations

AIESEC in Kathmandu University is the first University based Local Committee established under AIESEC in Nepal in April of 2014. We are a collaboration of diverse career field under Kathmandu University’s various departments across the Valley. Our head-quarters is located at the origins of the esteemed university, Dhulikhel, Kavre.

We create an environment for our members and affiliated participants to experience professionalism by working with undergrads from unrelated backgrounds and unify for socio-development projects. We encourage young minds to lead and step forward with development projects and innovations that will make a positive impact on the society.

ABOUT US

Junkiri in English means a firefly. A beetle that self illuminates and symbolizes 'making things happen'. Our project 'junkiri' focuses on giving Post Earthquake counseling, emotional and psychological support to children and illuminating their lives after the earthquake. In order to provide such counseling and emotional support to the children, we will be putting up child friendly camps with the objective to divert the children's mind from the recent Natural disaster that hit Nepal on 25th April 2015 through art, sports, games, music, etc in order to give them a normal life.

AIESEC in Kathmandu is the first Local Committee to be established under AIESEC in Nepal in September of 2013. The Executive Board of AIESEC in Kathmandu has been functional since January of 2014.

Having a team stand of "Build to Last"; we strive to engage every in youth Kathmandu Valley and in the long term, the entire nation. We link our members and other affiliated participants in a life changing experiences, both, within our lively landscape and out into the world. We promote eccentric leadership and believe in changes.

Currently, AIESEC in Kathmandu has delivered more than 140 exchange experiences and more than 25 leadership experiences.
